As lovers of vinyl records and technological innovation, we set out to combine the two into a new-age “digital vinyl” format. For the first time ever, artists will be able to release music digitally, with finite supply. In other words: limited-quantity digital files that cannot be easily duplicated or torrented. It’s like vinyl, but digital. Get it?
We got sick of seeing so many talented artists struggling to get by financially at the expense of powerful corporations. In a world where streaming pays next-to-nothing and record sales pay very little, artists are faced with pervasive a dilemma. We want artists to make more art, which requires financial security. So, we set out to build a new way for artists to distribute their music and take the power back.
